First WOYWW of 2014

I can't believe it has taken me so long to get back into blogging and into WOYWW!  This is my first post since before Christmas, and I have missed it.  My excuse is I have been extremely busy (work, home & church) which meant that even if I did manage to post I would have failed to comment on anyone's...lame I know!  Anyway, enough drivelling...here is my desk in the midst of a journaling session.  You can see the journal with the start of the next page on it, ink pads, pens, pencils, rubber, inspiration and a notepad with the sermon notes from last Sunday - this page is going to be based on that sermon.
On that note I have been doing several journal pages based on sermons as part of a discipleship series and these are the most recent two for you to see.  The first one is on belonging...something I find really challenging.  For this I used dylusion inks in the background and inktense pencils for the figures.  I used a mixture of stencilling with water, stamping and drawing to create the overall effect with gold peel offs for the key lettering.
The second one speaks for itself and is on the theme of prayer.  The hands, and three stranded cord are in acrylic paint whereas the background is in water colour paint with stamps on the top. That is all from me for now...I will endeavour to comment on as many of you as I can, but please bear with me it will take a little time!  Have a great week everyone.
Love
Caro

Always lovely to see you back in woyww. Great post on the sermons you have heard. I have been keeping a spiritual journal for a couple of years. A wonderful way of creating with the creator.

hey Caro, great to see you. Love your pages, those figures and colours are wonderful. You strike me as a very modest young woman and being in a group on that basis Is challenging; 'less modest' personalities come to the fore, huh!

Glad to see you back in blogland Caro. Life throws too much at us sometimes but it's good to prioritise and do the important things. Love your second "prayer" page.

Glad to see you back, Caro. I know how you feel about blogging and then not being able to visit others in return. The boxes on my table are actually some of my Clarity stamps, which I am in the processing of sorting and cataloguing. All part of a major sort out of my whole room. Have a good week. xx Maggie #3

Oh Caro, these are all lovely pages in your journal. I really love the bright summery colors you chose for the first two, also. I need a bit of summer about now.

Thanks for visiting me earlier. I appreciate it. Happy belated WOYWW from #1.

Caro, that paiting on Prayer had me in tears, it is so beautiful. Do you mind if I print it off and put a copy in my bible?
It would make such a wonderful banner for someone who is skilled enough. Wish I could use my skills as well as you have.
Bless you

Hello Caro. I am very pleased to see that you are back. Have missed hearing all your news. I do love your Journal Pages. Beautiful colours etc. I am attempting a journal this year- the Documented Life Project. My efforts are quite immature compared with others but I am enjoying trying. Anne x

Hello Caro. I do so love your journal pages - you are really inspired when you do them. They obviously come from the heart!!!
I'm sorry your hubby isn't a fit man - I trust he is the best he can be at the moment.
Thanks for the visit. John is struggling along each day - can just about manage to get up and down the stairs once, so we do some stuff up, and then I knit while we watch a DVD downstairs.... Or maybe nod off...!!!
Have a great week.

I love the prayer path that is following the hands...or is it that the hands are capturing the prayer. I don't know but I really like the image and definitely the bright colours!!
Good to see you back :-)
