WOYWW 551 - Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas to everyone who is part of the What's on your Workdesk gang (and anyone else who may be reading!).
Well this week turned out to be even more challenging than last week - I was diagnosed with pneumonia and Strep Throat and have been living on soup and not a lot else as I can't swallow anything solid. I also can't breathe properly, especially if I lie down so sleep has been in short supply. I am now on antibiotics and feeling a little better (yesterday was the first day I didnt doze off during the day) and am hoping to spend the day with my in laws. This is not actually my desk, but the dining room table - they are napkins folded into flowers and filled with party poppers and chocolates ready for the Christmas Dinner table.
Alex and I celebrated Christmas at the Christingle Service, which was lovely and atmospheric with a packed church, sadly my only service of the season.

So that's it from me today, short and sweet and I will leave you with these daft photos of the three of us to say Merry Christmas to you all.
With love and God Bless,
Caro

Love the photos of the three of you. Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, sending get well gentle hugs to you.
That first photo had me totally foxed, I thought they were bottles of rum or something and decided that it was a picture of some sort - not a clue that they were napkins and party poppers. That photo would make a great background paper.
Well, Caro, here's to you getting back to your self very soon and may you have a Happy Christmas filled with those and what you love.
Blessings, Neet 14 xx

Hi Caro, and Merry Christmas to you & yours. I do hope you feel better soon, it's horrible not being able to breathe properly. I added a second pillow for sleeping, and Olbas oil on some tissue inside the pillow case! Have a lovely Christmas week, Hugs, Shaz #11 X

Merry Christmas Caro, sorry you are suffering with pneumonia. I had it a few years ago, and it was partly the reason I spent 3 weeks in hospital - not a nice thing to have. Hope the day was not too tiring for you. I'm not joining in this week (no desk), just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Love and hugs Heather xx

Oh dear, Caro, you poor thing... I am so sorry you've been so poorly but at least you are getting the right treatment now, and hopefully it will knock the infection on the head. Try to take things nice and easy for a while so that you can fully recover! I love the photos of the 3 of you with your Santa hats on! Despite illness, I hope you have managed to enjoy the day.

Happy WOYWW and God bless,
Shoshi #15

So sorry to read you've been unwell Caro, I hope the antibiotics help ease the symptoms it's a painful thing to have pneumonia. Hubby had it 4 years ago and ended being hospitalised for 12 days. I hope you managed to enjoy your day yesterday & have some time to chill out and recover now.
Seasonal Blessing to you and the family & i'll catch up with you in 2020!!

My intentions really were good yesterday. I planned to visit all the WOYWWers at some point between our visits but it just didn't happen so here I am, a day late. I am determined to call on each and every one of you to wish you a wonderful Festive time, thank you for all the love and friendship over the last year and to say I really hope we can enjoy many more WOYWW over the next year.
Much love and the biggest hugs,

Happy Christmas to you too Caro, although belatedly, love the serviette arrangements.
So sorry that you've been so ill. Get lots of rest. I sleep elevated on three pillows almost sitting up as have breathing issues. I'd try that, better than no sleep!
Thanks for sharing, and may God bless you.

Ah Caro, I hope this late message finds you much improved, you poor thing. Folding the napkins like that is a lovely idea, I’m happy to see so many people will have gathered, how lovely.
