WOYWW 553

It's Wednesday and time for another tour of the crafting desks courtesy of Julia.
Here is my desk - I have been doodling on some gelli prints in my art journal as a form of relaxation so you can see my art journal, my doodle journal and my mug of tea.  In the background you can also see a lovely card I was sent by Kathryn Franz, which appropriately arrived on Epiphany!
Here it is in close up - it is beautiful and I love the shine on it. It will go in my Christmas box and come out again next year!
This is the close up of my art journal page.
The other 'creative' activity of this week was to finish my first ever 3D jigsaw.  This one is of Diagon Alley from the Harry Potter world.
Alex and I were back to school and work respectively this week so in the last few days before the end of the holidays we had a few trips out including to Star Wars and to Chatsworth for the Christmas decorations and fun in the grounds.
Finally, this is the sunrise from my crafting desk taken yesterday morning before work. Have a good week everyone,
With love and God Bless,
Caro

I hope you’re feeling much improved, especially as work and life have taken over again. In your (ha ha) leisure time, please take it easy for a good while longer. That puzzle is a fiend! it looks absolutely marvellous, well done you. I would have trouble with scale before anything, it’s a whole new set of skills needed for puzzling! Well done!! I didn’t realise you were within striking distance of Chatsworth. It’s on my bucket list for a good long visit, I look at their website quite regularly!

Wow, out of all your wonderful post I think that puzzle takes the cake. I don't think I have ever seen a 3D puzzle before. I'm so impressed you were able to finish it...it looks terribly difficult!

I am pleased that you're getting back to normal again after your flu but don't go overdoing things now! Loved the Diagonal alley jigsaw, right up my street that is, lol!! The bright colours on your journal page have cheered up this dull old day for me :-)

You are obviously feeling a lot better now, Caro - I am so glad! Lovely to see you back in action. Your doodle journal page is stunning - gorgeous bright colours to improve anyone's mood. I was just saying to my hubby that I am getting fed up with these gloomy days and want some sunshine, and along you come with a nice bright bust of it to brighten my day!! I have never heard of a 3D jigsaw before. The mind boggles... In the oncology waiting room at the hospital they always have a huuuuge jigsaw going, with thousands of pieces and a very, very hard picture. When I was having 6-monthly appointments, often the same one would still be going! I could never do any of it.

Thank you for your visit and your lovely comment. Glad you like my card. I've got 5 more to make in that batch. As for Ruby lying on her sister, she's always doing that. Lily is soooo soft, I would like to lie on her myself but I don't think she'd survive that! I had a phone call from the consultant's secretary today and he hadn't seen the scan result!! They've booked me an appointment at the earliest possible, which is 29th Jan. Hopefully things will move on more swiftly from there.

Happy WOYWW and God bless,
Shoshi xx #13

Your journal pages are fab - I love the bright colours against the black - it reminds me of planets and the solar system. The 3D jigsaw looks amazing and I imagine it uses the brain on a whole new level - not sure I'm ready for that sort of puzzle, being a relatively new convert to jigsaws!
I bet Chatsworth at Christmas was beautiful - it's a gorgeous place anyway but I bet it was extra special with the decorations, I'm loving the sleigh!
Hope you have a lovely week,

Hi Caro, ohmygosh that puzzle is mind boggling. ( I am not a puzzle person for flat ones so that would just make me whimper to see hubs working on I think haha)
he has a hard time walking away from them.

You have been so much in my thoughts and prayers of late, I do hope you are feeling much better by now. That was a rough period you had, may it be behind you and stay there.
I have never seen a 3D jigsaw done, it must be spectacular, and a Harry Potter one too - have you put it back in the box, will you? I think it would have to stay on display if I had somewhere to keep it and have a tickle now and then from a feather duster or a blow from my hairdryer.
Yes that is a lovely card that you got, I have saved two of mine, the cards I get from my friend in America are always breathtaking and I now have three which come out every year.
I like your art journal pages, the orange looks stunning against the black and those dots you have done with the white pen are brilliant. What pen did you use? So many times I have done something like that and found it transfers to the other page when I close the book.
Hugs, & Blessings, Neet 4 xx
ps your prayers are working for me, three days (not consecutive) now with no pain - slight twinge last night but averted the pain with using the hw bottle straight away.
