Hello and welcome to the nicest and most supportive Blog hop in the world. Don't know what I am talking about? Then check out Julia's blog as she is chief in charge of the What's on your Workdesk phenomenon, a lovely community of like minded individuals from around the world.
Firstly, I am so sorry I only managed to visit a few of you last week, but life just ran away with me - I promise to do better this week! Here is my desk as it was on Monday evening as I was playing in my journal - my desk is sadly empty now as I am at work and I am still going with my routine of tidying up after every crafting session. In this picture you can see my Hobonichi weeks journal, some pens, a nearly empty mug of tea, and at the back of the desk some new washi tapes
Here they are in a little more detail. They were a little treat as I had a tough week at work (long and depressing story that I wont bore you with now), and so I spent a therapeutic morning on Saturday playing with some of them and my journal - making the most of Alex being out for the day with his church group.
Here is one of the decorated pages from my journal (I will do a flip through at some point if anyone is interested) with washi tape, stickers and photos.
This week I also made a card for my nephew who is into Lego and Rugby so I figured this would fit the bill - confession time, I completely forgot his birthday until the day so this was a bit of a rush job and still arrived late!
I will finish with Alex in full on creative mode - completely taking over the dining room table as he builds his latest creation. I hope you all have a good week,

Hi Caro, Washi tape doesn't always stay stuck for me, so I often use glue. My grandson likes lego, I am sure your card was appreciated. Happy WOYWW Angela #8

Lovely to see Alex has the making of a good crafter with the table being full of things in use.
Not so lovely to hear you had a tough week at work, hope the therapeutic Saturday helped with the mood. They do say Journalling is good for the doldrums.
Love the birthday card, very appropriate and I am sure it was well received, even if a tad late.

The lego/rugby card is brilliant, clever you! I'm glad you enjoyed your down time at the weekend, sometimes work days just suck so crafting is good for you. Love the pic of Alex being absorbed in what he's doing!

Love your washi tape collection - using washi tapes always gives a pages an instant face lift. Cute card for your nephew - I'm sure he didn't mind it being a bit late. The good thing about little boys is that they don’t notice the absent cards, they just revel in them as they arrive...perfect theming I’d say, Lego rugby, happy days. I haste that you’ve had a difficult work week, and love that you can console yourself with a little spree of pretty things..I don’t own much Washi because I don’t really use it, but when I see how it decorates page edges and separates journal entries, I totally get it, yours looks fab, and yes please, I would find a flick through very inspiring...at any stage...don’t be feeling a time pressure! Alex is proof of the saying about if you have the space, you can fill it...he looks absolutely in his element doesn’t he.. how marvellous!

Lovely stuff on your blog this week, Caro. Those washi tapes are so pretty! I'd want them just to look at and stroke, and not use!! Your lego/Rugby card is perfect for a 10 yr old boy - I bet he was thrilled, even if he did get it late. Looking forward to seeing Alex's mega creation. Thank you for your visit and I'm glad you liked the Valentine card and my unusually tidy desk! I am thinking of revamping my stamp storage because I've got too many now for that system to work well. I am not sure how to proceed so it will probably stay like that for a while! Thank you for your good wishes for my appointment. I've updated my blog with a post about it if you are interested. All went pretty well but my goodness everything takes so long to get done!

Pretty washi tapes! I, too, have issues with most tapes staying stuck but a dab of glue usually works. Cool journal page and I love the birthday card! And fun seeing Alex making his project!

(I have taken to collecting belated sentiments for birthdays because, that has happened to me a lot over the last few years it just seems like I think I have enough time and I wait too long) or I make it early and still don't get it in the mail. such is life. :) that is pretty fun to me that you guys are able to allow his art to take over the dining room. :)

Hi Caro, it sounds like those lovely washi tapes were a deserved treat for you after what sounds like a bad week, glad you managed to make time for yourself and have a play with them last Saturday. Super journal, I do think those little photos work perfectly in there.
You've created a spot on card for your nephew, I bet he loved it.
So nice to see Alex absorbed in creativity, you've obviously taught him well.

Hi Caro! I enjoy seeing your Hobonichi journal. I just purchased a bunch of traveler's journals on sale and plan to use them creatively this year. And seeing all those washi still makes me want to buy more (even if I have way too much right now). I have been keeping my desk clean since the new year. I clean it at the end of sessions also. It is great to arrive at a clean desk. I hope I can stick to it.
