Cars!

Well it has been an interesting end to the week. Someone ran into the side of our car last week and we have been given a courtesy car while ours is being repaired. Alex thinks the new car is hilarious and calls it ‘funny car’. When we switch the engine on he thinks it sounds like a lawn mower and loves the loud noise the handbrake makes. However, for us it is a frustrating little car that doesn’t have the oomph of our turbo diesel, and what is more annoying is that the repairs to our car are going to cost more than the car is worth so the insurance company wont cover it. This is because four panels have been badly scratched and need replacing…we are hoping that the car is safe to drive so we can get away with a re-spray instead and keep the car. I just can’t face the hassle of trying to find a new car at the moment. In the meantime Alex is on great form, really good fun to play with and we have had some hilarious times in the evening playing with trains, cars, and games of chase. I have only managed a little crafting over the past couple of days in the form of this card. I followed the sketch from ‘Sketch Saturday’ and last weeks challenge from Daring Cardmakers to use a supersize flower. Coincidentally the card also fits the spots and stripes challenge from Papertake weekly. It is a bit out of my comfort zone and a step away from my usual style so I would love to know what you think of it. Have a great bank holiday weekend everyone.
Love,
Caro

Sorry to hear about your car.

I like how you've married the colours on the card.
