Christmas mark 4!

Well as today was the last day of my Christmas holidays we decided that it would make an appropriate re-attempt at our family Christmas day so we opened more presents in the morning (our family stocking from my parents) and had really nice treat food (Smoked salmon and cream cakes for lunch and roast dinner with all the trimmings tonight). Alex was on cracking form running round the house, playing outside in the garden on his tricycle, drawing, playing with cars and trains, cuddling his teddy's and experimenting with my old camera! He's taken some reasonable pictures of his toys, but hasn't got the hang of aiming it yet so photos of us are of our knees. As it was supposedly Christmas for us today I let Alex play with this hat, although he wasn't too sure about the dangly bits!
I did manage to do some crafting today and continuing the theme of trying to get things organised I decorated this notebook which has three sections in it which I will use for: (1) Scrapbooking - sketches, ideas and on-going projects; (2) cards - sketches, challenge sites and their days and details of who I need to make cards for; and (3) Altered art - any on-going swaps I have signed up for and who I owe ATCs to etc. This book should prove very useful for ideas and inspiration as I start filling it in and will help me keep track of my different crafting prokects. It will be an on-going project in itself and I am glad that I finally got round to doing it. The paper on the front is K&CO and the image is Penny Black enclosed in an embossed oval so I guess it counts (just) for this weeks Penny Black challenge, although my real challenge entries are below.
These two fatbook pages are for a swap on the CM&PC forum and used the cuttlebug embossing folder done on velum for the butterflies, sadly the actual cutting die was missing from the set (will be sent later) so I just cut round the embossed image with scissors. The background is K&Co with stippling done in green ink. The stamped butterflies and 'make a wish' sentiment are from Penny Black so these two pages count for this weeks Penny Black challenge.
The backs of the pages are very simple with background paper and an image from crafty individuals.
Finally I made this fun zebra card in black and white using an image from the Jayne Netley Mayhew CD and a cuttlebug embossing folder. It is back to work for me tomorrow so not as much time for crafting, but I will still try and regularly update this. Have a good week.
Love,
Caro
